Oh boy. It is that time again. Make a wish list for Christmas. My mum has no idea what I would like. She has never really known what I would like and what not. A bit like she never learned to read my handwriting, always comparing my wriggles to her way of writing letters - instead of learning my way. But that is the way she is. Bless her.

So, what to write on the list? It has to be fool proof.  Only trouble is - I haven’t got a clue. Oh well, I’ll have to ponder this for the next few days.

A new house?

My mum (74) is switching banks and would like some good ears at the meeting with the new bank. I should also try to get an appointment to see that new house. Mum would like both of us to have a better economy, and not so much work at home either. Therefore we are looking for a new house - together. I had said to her, when I moved back to Odense a few years ago (from Copenhagen), that she could move in with me, when her own house became too much for her. She is not there yet, but can feel the stress of not being good enough at house- and ‘garden keeping’ any more.

So we are looking for at a house for two people and six cats (and possibly two new small dogs). It must be within our budget, situated well in regards to public transportation (so she can keep up her meetings with her pensioner’s group), have a garden that can be ‘walled’ so the cats can be let out  without being able to run away, and finally, there must be enough private space for both of us, so we don’t rip each others’ heads off (that would mainly be me, I’m afraid). In short, not an easy task. Furthermore, I refuse to sell one or both houses without having something else within our grasp. We cannot live in my house for very long. It is too small for my sanity and her nerves.
